I had been meaning to watch the continuation of Squid Game since I had first heard of the release of season 2, as I felt the first season was a great production. I was pretty disappointed with the new seasons though, which would more aptly be described as one season released in two parts. It starts off strong with some very viable starting points for an engaging story, but concludes very disappointingly, with the A and B plots going basically nowhere. Worse yet, in doing so I feel it introduces a bunch of plot holes which exist only to serve it in having a dark and unsatisfying conclusion with many open ends which, although they did do the same in season 1 as well, feels especially unpleasant as an audience member this second time around.
