The slowness felt deliberate though, as the kids attempt to fill the empty void of their life doing various things to try and cope as the reality of their situation increasingly worsens, slowly but surely. It’s a film that is very heartbreaking at times. It’s an impressive film in the way it approaches storytelling, but definitely not an easy watch.
