I’ve heard about this film a ton of times over the years as being an iconic masterpiece, similar to other films directed by Stanley Kubrick. Honestly though, after watching it, I thought it wasn’t a particularly good movie despite being well directed. It doesn’t feel like a ton happens in the movie and much of the story doesn’t develop in particular, it’s mostly just a lot of creepy tone-setting and a few terrible things happening inexplicably. Glad to have gotten the chance to see it myself, though.
I watched: The Shining
