I watched: Leon: The Professional

This movie was very stylistic, but I felt the overall plot took a backseat to the character exploration of Mathilda’s infatuation with Leon, which made it much less believable and immersive as a consequence. Leon is a one-man-army in a completely rotten world full of people who want others dead, where life is considered completely expendable, and everything is corrupt and terrible and nobody cares. I think the style is good and the novelty of Mathilda and Leon’s unique pairing has artistic merit, but I’d like to see a more gripping story to pair it.
