I watched: All Quiet on the Western Front

This movie was impactful and fairly well made, but I can’t help but feel like it didn’t really provide any new or interesting insights about WW1, and missed some important details on the topic of the scale of pestilence during that conflict. I was recommended it by a friend but in retrospect I feel it’s likely the film simply stood up well to the large amount of poor to mediocre documentaries available on modern streaming services. I think the most interesting part of the film is that book and film originally made based on that book were subject to heavy censorship early in Nazi rule of Germany.
