Pretty fun and wholesome movie that manages to capture a lot of the pain of chaotic family life and, somehow, the exact atmosphere of the ridiculous escapades of upper-middle class American families of the 1990’s. It’s a wonderful culture piece that takes place in a universe where things are a bit more ridiculous and silly, but in a good way. It seems like a movie that could have only been fun for kids or as a Christmas movie, but the creativity and attention to detail found throughout the movie (particularly in the home) gives the audience a lot of little things to marvel at in a way that creates a much more captivating experience.
